Charlotte & Philip’s Beautiful Oxnead Hall Wedding
Charlotte and Philip’s wedding at the stunning Oxnead Hall in Norfolk was nothing short of magical. Originally planned as an outdoor ceremony in the venue’s gorgeous gardens, the British weather had other plans—at least to start with. The ceremony was moved indoors, but as soon as they said their vows, the sun broke through and lit up the rest of the day. From that moment, the day flowed beautifully. Guests relaxed outside, wandered the impressive grounds, and soaked up the incredible atmosphere. It was my first time photographing a wedding at Oxnead Hall, and I was genuinely blown away—not just by the breathtaking setting, but by the helpful, welcoming staff.
Charlotte and Philip are an absolutely lovely couple—warm, easygoing, and clearly so loved by their family and friends. Their young son Alfie made a brilliant page boy, confidently walking down the aisle and melting hearts along the way. Later in the day, I had a lovely surprise — the parents of a previous bride whose wedding I photographed in Stamford stopped by to say hello, along with that past bride herself. It was so special to reconnect, especially as they were the ones who recommended me to Charlotte and Philip. Moments like this are a reminder of how meaningful this job is and how word-of-mouth from happy couples helps me grow as a Stamford wedding photographer and beyond.
Oxnead Hall is a dream venue for any Norfolk wedding photographer, offering endless photo opportunities with its historic buildings and landscaped gardens. I’m already looking forward to returning. Thank you, Charlotte and Philip, for having me along. Your wedding was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of sunshine you can’t plan—but makes everything more memorable.
