Charlotte & Charlie’s Countryside Farm Wedding
Charlotte & Charlie’s wedding was something truly special — a laid-back farm wedding in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside, full of personal touches, sunshine, and real joy from start to finish. Charlie is a hard working farmer, and Charlotte has represented Great Britain in polocrosse, competing at top-level national tournaments — so the countryside and horses were always going to be part of the story. Together with the help of family, they organised every detail themselves. The result? A warm, relaxed day that reflected exactly who they are.
They’d already done the legal part a few days earlier — something more couples are choosing to do. It made the ceremony itself more personal and pressure-free, and allowed them to simply enjoy the day surrounded by the people they love. The marquee on their field was a dream for any Cambridge wedding photographer — wide open skies, hay bales, lawn games, a lovingly decorated old tractor, and even a surprise flyover from the Duxford Air Show. The light in the evening was magical, and we made the most of it with a short walk into the nearby barley fields for some golden hour portraits. It was one of those weddings where everything felt personal — even the moment the power generator overheated in the summer heat, and Charlie and the groomsmen had it up and running again in no time. That’s the charm of a farm wedding: nothing stops the day from rolling on.
If you’re planning something similar and looking for a farm wedding photographer or someone who knows how to capture the beauty of a Cambridgeshire countryside wedding, I’d love to hear from you.
