Zoe & Andy’s August wedding at Doddington Hall
Zoe & Andy’s August wedding at Doddington Hall was an absolute dream to photograph—a lovely, photogenic couple who couldn’t have been more natural in front of the camera, set against one of Lincolnshire’s most beautiful wedding venues. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed, joyful, and full of anticipation. Zoe and Andy are the kind of people you instantly warm to—genuine, easygoing, and completely in love. I was also delighted to see one of Zoe’s bridesmaids again—a former bride of mine, which is always a lovely compliment and a special connection on the day.
Doddington Hall, a magnificent Elizabethan house just outside Lincoln, offers stunning gardens, grand architecture, and an elegant country setting that’s hard to beat. The Hall itself, built in 1600, is full of history and charm, while the grounds provide a picture-perfect backdrop for portraits—from formal terraces to wildflower walks and open parkland. The ceremony and reception flowed beautifully, with the Hall’s timeless elegance creating a sense of occasion without ever feeling too formal. We had beautiful light all day—perfect for portraits—and the late summer warmth meant guests could enjoy drinks and laughter outside in the gardens. As we explored the grounds for portraits, Zoe & Andy were effortlessly natural together. Every look, every smile—real and unforced. It was the kind of day that reminded me why I love photographing weddings so much. Zoe & Andy, thank you for being such a joy to work with and for trusting me to document such a beautiful day.
