Nicole & Daniel’s Holmewood Hall Wedding – Fireworks & October Sunshine
Nicole & Daniel’s wedding at Holmewood Hall on 1st October was one of those days that just had it all—great weather, golden light, and a beautiful mix of laughter, love, and celebration. As a Peterborough wedding photographer, it’s always a joy to return to familiar places—but this wedding was extra special. Two of Nicole’s bridesmaids were previous brides of mine, so it felt like being surrounded by friends from the very start. There’s something wonderful about capturing a wedding where you already know the people—you’re welcomed in, and the atmosphere is even warmer.
Holmewood Hall, set in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, is a stunning 19th-century mansion full of elegance and charm. Its sweeping grounds and grand interiors offered the perfect setting for their celebration—and for an October day, the weather was amazing! We took full advantage of the golden-hour light for portraits, followed by an evening filled with sparkle—literally! Guests enjoyed a magical sparkler moment, and later, a spectacular firework display lit up the sky. I stayed longer to capture it all, and I’m so glad I did—it was the perfect ending to a brilliant day.
