Esme & George’s Holmewood Hall Wedding – Music, Sunshine & a Surprise Dance Routine
Every so often, a wedding comes along that reminds me—again—how lucky I am to do what I do. Esme & George’s wedding at Holmewood Hall in August was exactly that. They’re young, full of life, effortlessly photogenic (though they’d never admit it), and genuinely two of the kindest people you could hope to meet. And, like so many of the couples I’ve worked with, they made me feel like a friend with a camera—not just a photographer.
The day? A dream. Blue skies, sunshine, and that golden glow that makes everything feel just a little more magical. Holmewood Hall looked as beautiful as ever, and the atmosphere was buzzing with energy, joy, and the kind of relaxed laughter that only happens when people feel completely at ease. There were stand-out moments: a groomsman stepping up to play and sing the first dance live, filling the room with a mix of nerves and pure emotion. And just when everyone thought they’d seen it all, Esme and her bridesmaids broke into a surprise dance routine that had the whole place cheering. It wasn’t just a wedding—it was a day full of heart, music, sunshine, and joy shared between good people. And honestly, that’s all you ever need. Esme & George, thank you. For being brilliant. For letting me in. And for making this one to remember.
